Abstract:

Decision making is a very important part of our life as we have to take decisions through every aspect of life. In one’s work place it is one of the key skills and it is mandatory for an effective leader. As a team member of TK Maxx, at times I have the opportunity to participate in decision making process. Here I will explain two such examples, describe decision making process, justify the effectiveness of the decision making process and will reflect on my own decision making process. This decision making process will help me to increase my effectiveness and leadership skills.

Job description: I am working at TK Maxx as a team leader of the women department. I have to do many tasks like leading team on women department, task allocation between shop floor staffs, organizing logistic support, communication, team work, conflict management (problem solving), time management and customer service. There are four staffs who are working under my supervision. In my department there are various women apparels like tops, trousers, jackets, knitwear (jumper, cardigan), active wear (sports dress), under garments and so on. I have to decide job allocation between my subordinates.

For a society and community health and social care practice is very important. Peoples are affected by different kinds of diseases, among them some are newly invented and they are suffering a lot. People must be aware of those diseases. Treatments and medication are provided by the health and social care centers to the service users. Providing care and treatment to the service users with maintaining privacy by following patient’s opinion to minimize risks and hazards for the service users and promoting awareness regarding many social issues and diseases is the principle of health and social care practice.

It is a process to develop the information system which includes requirements, training, and validation and user ownership. There are some approaches in SDLC like spiral, waterfall, agile software development, and incremental, rapid prototyping and synchronize and stabilize. When the recipient of a message understands its meaning and can express that meaning back to the speaker or sender of the message then it is effective communication. For the success of an organization or an individual it is important to evaluate the effectiveness of communication.
