Assignment on The power of effective team work


Introduction:
We are the human being, live together in a society. Society is like a team where everyone has to share their ideas, views, work; we need to help each other, collaboration and overall cooperation. For accomplishing a task, we can do it lonely or in a team. If we do it individually it needs too much time, patience, hard work, sometimes it is impossible to reach the desire goal. Some tasks are really impossible to complete without a team. A team consist of a bunch of people or animal related in a general principle.
Teams are especially suitable for completing tasks that are high in difficulty and have many interdependent subtasks. Teamwork is work performed by a team towards a common purpose. There must be some members and a leader in a team; leader must lead the team from front and take decision with the help of other members by discussing. All the business sectors, sports teams, government need a proper team work to run their organization properly. There are some techniques how to run a team very effectively and smoothly without any hazard. There are some challenges as well to run a team. We will discuss those matters in later part of the assignment.
Teamwork activities:
 A challenge for leaders of a community or a group of people, such as in a work department or sports sector, is to get together to drag jointly and function as a team instead of going in individual destination or direction. One way to encourage teamwork is to appoint the team members in activities that are needed to them to work together. They can work physically and mentally; sometimes they use their intelligence power to resolve a trouble and most of the time they use their physical power to accomplish their task. Fun activities like aerobics instructions or sports event can permit the squad associates to rest, calm down, calm down and take pleasure in working and cooperating with each other.  
§  Social Activities: All the members need to be comfortable and under-stable with each other to develop a teamwork.  Unofficial communal activities permit the team associates to loosen up and have enjoyment and entertainment while building the relationship essential to role as a unit. It contains team sports such as cricket, handball, basketball, bowling or volleyball or an outdoor campaign, group picnic, where everyone is accountable for a task like carrying food and drinks or preparation a game.
§  Charitable Endeavours: Working jointly for a generous cause manufactures teamwork and gives the team members a good feeling from functioning jointly. Charitable activities are scheduling and arranging an event like walk and raise fund for disable person or a severe patient or flood affected persons, collecting cloths for poor people during winter and distribute them after collection.
§  Workplace Activities: In workplace, teamwork is mandatory because in absence of proper combination of teammates it really hard to run their operation or complete any task in time.  Sometime there are some people who did not understand some official activities properly, that time other officials need to help him to understand or recover or rediscover this situation. For getting most efficient outcome or output, every team player needs to cooperate and help each other every time as much as possible. 
§  Projects: In project activities, it requires every team member will have a common goal. Project activities means they are dedicated in one task and they are puzzling down the factors and try to find the ways to solve the project in a scheduled time. All the members are responsible for individual task which give them more confidence to accomplish their jobs and make specialist in a particular task or jobs or subject.
§  Outdoor Activities: performances like hiking, mountain biking, camping or white-water rafting allow the participant or team associates to lighten up while enjoying the unsullied air, bird’s sound and the wisdom of being "away from it all" can lead to relate within the team. [1]
   
10 critical success factors of teamwork:
The six core factors: there are six vital success factors which are badly needed to follow before any team stats it work or operation.
1. Supportive Sponsor: A sponsor who identifies the organizational goal and shows the way to his fellow workers or members how to achieve a company, division or unit goal.   It is the sponsor’s accountability to produce a ‘charter’ that set up the leadership team and its main spotlight. The sponsor will also select the team leader and achieve his or her pledge to lead the headship team in significant and delivery out the required performances. 

2. Focus on Stakeholder Outcomes: Stakeholders expectations, understanding and values what the team embraces is important to create the team plan and execute the necessary actions to achieve the goal.

3. Smart Goals: Measurable, precise, realistic, attainable and time-bound purposes should be made by the team’s guarantor and then wrecked into sub-aims by the headship team.  Without SMART goals, the team will be short of the landmarks essential to impel action.

4. Committed Leadership: Every team requires a leader who spotlights the members of the team on the operation, principle, and purpose of the team. The team leader must connect every team associates in the processes of the team and build a stage of communal faith that leads to individual commitment, open debate, personal accountability and collaboration.

5. Mutual Trust: it is the most vital factor of successful teamwork which enables the team to involve in decision making and open debate. Structuring this trust needs an honesty that permits team members to understand and know the behaviours and beliefs of all participants of the team so that team activities can be ordered to take benefit of each member's individuality and aptitudes. 

6. Engaged Team Members:
An successful team will have team associates who are enthusiastically occupied in the work and spotlight of the team. All the team members are emotionally committed to participate and contribute to reach the team’s goal. Every individual must aware to complete his task very effectively by the date committed to. Every member must help each other and try to improve their performance. They never give up their hopes and desire to reach him team to its dream.

The Four Factors of implementation

The following factors will assure the team carries out the activities essential to attain their elected goals.

7. Work together To Set route and resolve trouble: The supremacy of team-work dynamics is occupied when the team associates come jointly to focus jointly on goals, challenges, problems and issues. Team leaders must cautiously arrange the team meetings in order to make best use of the power of the communal knowledge and proficiencies of the team members. The most effective teams include at least three but no more than six persons who go after a meeting tactic that is focused on commerce with issues requiring the team's attention and make the most of the power of the communal knowledge and proficiencies of the team associates.  

8. Obtains Individual Commitments: All the members are responsible to accomplish or finish the work of a team. When a team is working for achieving a goal all individuals need to overcome their barriers and carrying out definite performances. The team's combined processes must include steps to:
·         identify personage actions,
·         Gain the pledges by individual team associates to finish the jobs,
·         files submitting dates
·         Set up position reporting procedures. 
9. Establishes Discipline Of Personal Accountability: When individual commitments are achieved then team goals achieved automatically. Team members must be disciplined and accustomed to finish their task in scheduled time. If any individual face any problem or he can’t overcome the barrier then he needs to inform it to his leader; otherwise at the dead time the team have no other scope to finish the task. 

10. Identifies and Removes Barriers
Barriers to team and personage development will happen in every team attempt and must be deal with rapidly to carry on development in the direction of the team's goals.  The team leader must incessantly check the status of each individual's promises and start obstruction removal processes where suitable.  Team-based process for budding stroke plans to conquer barriers impacting personage pledges should be instilled as a part of the team's customs.[2]

 Teamwork challenges:
There are some challenges in teamwork. All the challenges are mentioning below:
·         Clarifying the purpose on the team
·         Organizing team meetings
·         Dealing with team clash

·         Dealing with team politics
·         Dealing with overly destructive team members
·         Dealing with non-participating team associates
·         Dealing with tricky decisions

Practical steps to promote issue resolution
·         Recognize that clash is tolerable, even costly, when it is forceful, robust and guarded
·         Use positive inquiring to discover the causes of clash
·         Try to maintain on a blame-free customs by triumph the team to spotlight on joint team solutions
·         When problems arise, fetch the team together to calculate every dissimilar challenging choice and generate the best overall resolution –taking shared accountability for its execution
·         Allow all team members to contribute completely
·         Call a meeting of the entire team to identify the sources of clash and to allow disappointments to be aired

Conclusion:
The power of teamwork can be seen everywhere all over the world likes when large flocks of geese fly thousands of miles when the seasons change. When a bird flies in a flock they can go extra miles like more than 70% of an individual flying. In a flock birds are rotate the leadership at regular basis to decrease the intensity of wind. Same in our life as well, when we work together in a team we can work more, become more efficient, less time consuming and organized. Need to be careful about the challenges of teamwork. If we careful about clashes and silly matters or minimize those things we can go extra miles in our work. Working in a team makes our task easier.
