MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT AND ORGANISATIONAL STRATEGY: THE MISSING LINK?

Linking strategy with HRM and management development leads to enhanced organizational performance. However it can be hypothesized, that organizations do not respond to such managerial wisdom equally when placed in different cultural settings. This papers tests and discusses the effect of country on the way managers perceive the fit between their employer organization’s strategy and its HRM and MD practices.

From the very beginning of human era, man has given importance to various things. The best among them after food is “Clothing”. Man always wanted to protect himself from the rude weather and for this, the concept of “Clothing” has blasted into human brain. Since, then men have come a long way. Introduction:

We live in modern era and everyone is busy here. People have to do a lot of work every day like office, shopping, travelling, spending time with families and so on. Everybody likes to do shopping and there is various kind of shopping mall. There is different kind of retail shops which contains various kind of product like grocery, supermarket, bakery, drugstore, liquor store, and news-stand and so on. Tesco one of the leading retailer in UK and they are doing good business by providing all kind of groceries, bakeries, drugstores, news-stands and so on.

Introduction : The Olympic 2012 Village situated in Stratford, London is due to open in February 2012. It consists of 12 cottages, with each cottage able to accommodate 24 guests in 12 twin rooms managed from one central reception. It also includes three restaurants with bars, each with a seating capacity of 120.

INTRODUCTION:

Finance is a very important for all kinds of business. It is also called the life blood of a business. Financial management is consisting of identifying the source of finance, maintaining the financial resource and proper allocation of these resources. Decision making is a very important part of our life as we have to take decisions through every aspect of life. In one’s work place it is one of the key skills and it is mandatory for an effective leader. As a team member of TK Maxx, at times I have the opportunity to participate in decision making process. Here I will explain two such examples, describe decision making process, justify the effectiveness of the decision making process and will reflect on my own decision making process. This decision making process will help me to increase my effectiveness and leadership skills.

Job description: I am working at TK Maxx as a team leader of the women department. I have to do many tasks like leading team on women department, task allocation between shop floor staffs, organizing logistic support, communication, team work, conflict management (problem solving), time management and customer service. There are four staffs who are working under my supervision. In my department there are various women apparels like tops, trousers, jackets, knitwear (jumper, cardigan), active wear (sports dress), under garments and so on. I have to decide job allocation between my subordinates.
